My parents took Allison and I to Sea Island for a quick getaway. We were scheduled to go to Kiawah Island in South Carolina, but the state was hit with catastrophic flooding, so we moved down to Georgia for our vacation.

We went and fiddled around at the beach and hotel pool for the first two days. Got to get my picture made with a super cool hawk. We had dinner on the second night at a steakhouse called Colt & Alison. Before dinner there was a dude with bagpipes that walked up the golf course and put on a show. Unfortunately I ate a bad shrimp salad during lunch and almost threw up all over my ribeye during dinner. I spent the rest of the vacation holed up in my room while Allison and my parents went skeet shooting and did all kinds of other fun things. The good news is that they got my steak into a to-go bag and I ate it three days later. Best steak I have ever eaten.
